TJ's Testimony of Salvation

I knew a man who was 24 years old when he went to a Full Gospel Businessman's Meeting. At the end of a very confusing service, he went forward at an invitation for all who wanted to be healed of infirmities.

Two years earlier, he had been in a motorcycle accident that had severed a major nerve in his right leg. He was wearing a brace that caused his foot to drag as he walked. Three doctors said that he would never have full nerve induction again and that he would need to wear a brace for the rest of his life.

The preacher laid hands on him, prayed in tongues, and told him to take off the brace. He did as he told him to and removed the brace immediately. He stood up from the chair and began to walk. Then he ran the aisles. He has walked without a brace from that day forward, with only 5% nerve induction in the right side of his leg and foot (Doctors are still baffled that he can walk). On that day, he professed Christ as his Savior and was baptized a short time later.

BUT, HE WAS STILL LOST AND ON HIS WAY TO AN ETERNAL HELL !!!

“Why,” you say? I’m glad you asked… Because he trusted what he had seen and experienced, rather than putting his trust in God. HE HAD NO FAITH !!! [ Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ]

It was not until one year later, while doing time in a county jail, that he was told by a preacher during a jailhouse service, “The answer to all of life’s troubles and the way you can know you are going to heaven when you die are written in pages of the New Testament.”

When other prisoners began to mock the man of God, he ran out of the room in shame without finishing his sermon, leaving his Bible behind. Then, as the guard ordered the prisoners back to the cell block, the man stole the preacher’s Bible and took it back to his cell with him. On his second time reading through the New Testament, he read Matthew 21:22 [And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.]

Believing God’s Word for the very first time ever, I understood what I needed to do and called upon Him. [ Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. // Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. ] FAITH !!! NOT SIGHT !!!

I BELIEVE THAT SATAN IS THE GREAT PRETENDER AND WILL USE SIGNS AND WONDERS (EVEN MIRACLES) TO DECEIVE MANKIND !!! He doesn’t care if we profess Jesus Christ. He just doesn’t want us to possess Jesus Christ.

I ‘suspect’ that the angel at the pool of Bethesda was ‘likely’ a lying angel sent by Satan for the same reason. Think about it. Would God leave the healing of one ‘lucky’ person to the chance of being the first one in? There was a “great multitude” there, and the Bible says, “John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.” That means pretty much at the same time every time. Yes? They were there, knowing when the angel was coming. Yes? What day was it? THE SHABBAT !!! (the Sabbath). Where should that multitude have been on that day? A House of Worship, perhaps? NOT SITTING AROUND A POOL !!! That’s for sure.

Yes… Absolutely, Satan will use miracles to keep people from God. He almost got away with it in that man's case.

I say, "I knew a man" because he is no more. My life began anew when I received the Word of God into my heart on that day. It was the day of my birth. Amen?

Teresa's Testimony of Salvation

I was saved at the age of 19 by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection. I was later baptized through immersion in water as a witness of my salvation.

Throughout the years, I have served in various ministries with my husband, such as the nursing home, jail, music, and as missionaries to mainland China.

I will be currently serving the Lord with my husband, TJ Lucas, in the Philippines.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Hana's Testimony of Salvation

I grew up in a deeply Catholic family and believed for many years that I would always remain Catholic. During my college years, I heard a Pentecostal preacher speak about things like speaking in tongues, but at the time, I still believed I would die Catholic. A few years later, while working overseas, God brought my future husband, Mike, into my life. Through him and through the Scriptures, I came to understand the true Gospel — that salvation is by God’s grace through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since then, I have placed my faith fully in Christ and continue studying God’s Word daily with my husband. Today, I am thankful to serve alongside him by helping translate and share the Gospel while striving to honor the role God has given me as a wife, as unto the Lord.

Mike's Testimony of Salvation

I first heard the Gospel when I was 8 years old after my mother, Teresa, told me about Jesus Christ. Although I believed, I did not fully understand the seriousness of sin or the grace of God, and I spent many years living a sinful life. When I was 15 years old, I had a near-death experience after falling from the top of a flight of stairs and waking up in a pool of my own blood. In that moment, I understood that God is real and that my actions could lead me to an early death. I asked my father how to be saved, and from there I began studying the Bible throughout my senior year of high school. Since then, I have continued learning, preaching, and growing in faith while also making many mistakes along the way. Through it all, I have come to firmly believe that salvation is by the grace of God alone — a free gift received through faith, not something we can earn or maintain by our own works. God has since led my wife and me to the Philippines, where we desire to help the community by sharing the love of Christ and seeking to grow His family through the Gospel.

Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: [kjv]
