Our Ministry Goals

In the past, our ministry has been to evangelize the lost, disciple believers, train national leaders, and assist in planting self-governing, Bible-believing churches. As stated at the beginning of this page, our core mission objectives remain steadfast.

Since the Philippines is not a communist country, with the exception of smuggling Bibles, meeting behind closed doors baptizing converts by cloak-and-dagger method, we intend to follow the same course of direction. Thankfully, spending countless hours learning local dialects so that we can communicate, is not so pressing, since English is widely spoken here. Actually, after spending several months here, I have yet to speak with a local who is not too shy to use it.

As far as church planting is concerned, we learned a long time ago that a local church is not a building. It is a gathering of like-minded born again believers. We will not be building buildings, or ordaining preachers.

We will be practicing discipleship, baptizing, training locals for the work of the ministry, and teaching them to do the same, according to God's book. If they so choose, they can legally ordain their own leaders. Likewise, it will be strictly up to them if they want to register their church with the government, put up a building to worship in, or hang out a sign. But, we intend to recommend a better way.

TJ Lucas is a missionary/preacher/teacher/evangelist. His help-meet, Teresa Lucas, is pretty much the same. TJ Lucas is not called to be a foreign pastor. Nor is TJ Lucas called to start American-style churches. TJ Lucas is called to model churches after what he believes to be the New Testament model.

Meeting daily, from house to house, and without putting God on a once or twice weekly schedule.
